STACKER CEMETERY

From Gary Matthews take Highway 48/13 9 miles to Southside Road. Turn left go 3.7 miles to Devers Road. Turn right, go .9 mile to house #4901.
Cemetery is behind the house, back in the woods, past the new graveyard.

We try to keep families grouped together. If someone's last name is listed, it means they have a separate headstone. If it is not listed, they are sharing a headstone with someone else. Sometimes children are on the same headstone as parents.
Since we do not personally know these families, if we aren't sure of a relationship we list who they are buried next to. Any help matching folks with their relatives will be greatly appreciated.

(Montgmery County Cemetery Records Vol II   Page 65 says:
Margaret dau. of Jacob & Elizabeth Bellzhoover
of Pittsberg Penn. died June 9,1831)

Feb.6th 1831  aged 36 hours
Short is our longest day of life and soon its prospects ends
but on that day�s uncertain date eternity depends.
(These are above-ground tombs are enclosed in a rock wall with an iron fence on top.
The name of John is on his mother�s stone.)

(Samuel Stacker had a daughter Elizabeth who died June 24, 1835 age 14 years
maybe the iron marker with E.C.S. is hers. (Montgomery County Cemetery Records Vol. II   Page 65)


There are many graves marked with fieldstones. This cemetery is on both sides of the dirt road.
