Obituaries:
YANDRICH, Mary
Mary Yandrich, of Midland, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, in St.
Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born August 15, 1927, in Midland, she was a
daughter of the late Jovo and Sava Buncich Martich. A 1947 graduate of
Lincoln High School, Mary was a class officer and organized numerous
class reunions. A lifelong member of the St. George Serbian Orthodox
Church, she was a dedicated choir member, and served in many local,
state and national Serbian organizations. She was a devoted wife,
mother, grandmother, sister and a true friend to all who shared her
life. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Marko
Yandrich, at home; son and daughter-in-law, Demetrius and Olga
Yandrich; daughter and son-in-law, Dessa and Rudley Mrvos; cherished
grandchildren, Anna and Adam Yandrich, and Sara and Jelena Mrvos, all
of Bethel Park, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Julie
Martich, West Mifflin, PA; George and Mildred Martich, Weirton, WV, and
Milan and Mercia Martich, Northridge, CA. Friends will be received
Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the D.L. WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME,
848 Midland Ave., Midland, where a Pomen (blessing service) will be
conducted Friday at 7 p.m. Mary will lie in state Saturday from 10 a.m.
until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the St. George Serbian Orthodox
Church, Midland, with the Rev. Father Milan Pajic officiating. Those
attending the funeral rites and burial should convene at the church by
10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Saint Sava Cemetery, Hamilton Road,
Castle Shannon, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to
St. George Serbian Orthodox Church Building Fund, Midland, PA.
