Jules S. "Suddy" Baptiste
BAPTISTE FUNERAL
Funeral Services for Jules S. "Suddy" Baptiste, 76, of Fenelton R.D. 1, who
died yesterday morning [January 5, 1971] in Butler County Memorial Hospital,
after an illness, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from St. John Roman Catholic
Church, Coylesville. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Herman. Born in
Butler, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Dephine Very Baptiste.
Employed in the inspection department at Armco, he had worked there for 31
years before retiring in 1959. He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic
Church, Coylesville, and the Moose Lodge of Butler. His wife, Adeline
Convery Baptiste, died in July, 1968. Surviving are two brothers, Marcel
and Maximillian Baptiste, both of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews,
including Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Southworth of Fenelton R.D. 1.

Friends of Jules S. "Suddy" Baptiste of Fenelton R.D. 1, who died Tuesday,
Jan. 5, 1971, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham
St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from St. John Roman Catholic
Church, Coylesville, with the Rev. Stephen Schneider, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Herman. Arrangements by Geibel. The
Moose Lodge of Butler will conduct memorial services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at
the funeral home.
