"On Monday, Jan. 2, 1928 at 12:45 a.m. Christian OTT, husband of the late
Elizabeth OTT (nee WEBER) and father of Mrs. Elizabeth NICKEL, Mrs.
Mathilda REDDY, Joseph, Edward, Albert and Theodore OTT.  Funeral from the
family home 2108 Main St.; Sharpsburg on Thursday Jan. 5 at 8:30 a.m. Solemn
High Mass at St. Mary's Church at 9 a.m. Friends of the family and members
of the Knights of St. George, Branch #9 are respectfully invited to attend."

Further info:  Christian was the third child and second son of Peter OTT and
Katherine BECK OTT.  And he was the second child of those parents to be born
in the USA. Christ and Elizabeth [WEBER] were married at St. Mary's Church
in Sharpsburg.  The witnesses were: Henry KESSLER, Anna KESSLER, Michael
WEBER and Catherine WEBER.

In their early married life, Christian and Elizabeth lived in Deutschtown
[a neighborhood in the eastern part of old Allegheny City.]
Later Christian and his wife bought a 2 acre farm and lived at 1909 Main St.
in Sharpsburg.  The 1910 US Census and the 1912-13 Sharpsburg Directory give
this address for them.
Christian  is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in the old section over by the
old Chapel in Section A, Lot 33, grave 4.  His son, Christian (1877-1880)
and his infant son, John Ott (1874-1874),  are buried together in Grave 1
with a more elaborate monument than the rest.
