SUE E. PATTON

After a long illness, Miss Sue E. Patton, passed quietly away,
Friday February 18, 1898, at her home in Aspinwall. Miss Patton
was beloved by all who knew her and that circle of friends was very large.
She was always bright and cheerful up to the last moment of life.  The
approach of death had no terror for her as she had "fought the good fight"
and was going to him "who giveth his beloved sleep."  We feel our loss
deeply but we know that her influence will live on, that all will be
better for having come in contact with this brave, earnest, Christian
life and her going before adds anotherlink to that golden chain which
binds us to a better world.
