Alex Abercrombie

Alex Abercrombie, 71, of Indiana Township died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 in
Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison. He was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Verona.
Mr. Abercrombie was retired from Edgewater Steel, Oakmont.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mildred Sheasley Abercrombie; a
daughter, Kathy M. Abretske of Indiana; a grandson; and a sister, Helen
Thomas of Penn Hills.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Mae Limegrover
Abercrombie.
Friends are being received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, in the
Burket-Truby Funeral Home, Inc. 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, where services
will be conducted at noon Thursday, Feb. 8, by the Rev. Neil Leftwich, pastor
of Verona Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
