Adam Eschman, aged 61 years, died yesterday from pneumonia at the residence of his brother George Eschman, 54 Penn Street, Sharpsburg.
He was born in Old Allegheny and went to Sharpsburg in early boyhood, spending the rest of his life there. He was a close friend of James Sharp, a pioneer settler, after whom the borough was named. He was engaged all his life in the tobacco trade with his brother George. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, Sharpsburg. Surviving are his widow Honora Eschman, and five children.
