Barbara (Diebold) Kleitz

Mrs. Barbara Kleitz, one of the oldest residents of O'Hara Township, (PA) died at her home on Little Pine Creek, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. She had lived in that vacinity for over 40 years and was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Little Pine Creek, where she was an earnest worker. Mrs. Kleitz had been ill only four days, her disease being bronchitis. One daughter and four sons survive.

NOTE:  Barbara and her husband Jacob are buried in the"old section" of St.
Mary of the Assumption Church Cemetery, Middle Road.  Her stone reads
"Barbara Kleitz, died March 19, 1901, 77 years."

According to the civil birth records from Riedseltz, Wiessembourg Canton,
Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France, Catherine Barbe Diebold was born March 30, 1826
at 3 am.  Her father was Joseph, age 38,  and a farmer, and her mother was
Barbe Koehl.
