DICKERT - On Wednesday, July 2, 1947, Ferdinand Dickert, husband of Elizabeth Meyers; father of Mrs. Marie Bainbridge, Mrs. Edna Kelly, Mrs Freda Behm, Mrs. Ethel Tribby, Edwin, Walter, Alfred and Harry Dickert; also seventeen grandchildren and one niece. Friends received at the Funeral home of Grime and Blair, 4520 Penn near Friendship avenue. Services on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. --------- Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, July 4, 1947 NOTES: Ferdinand Albert Dickert was born on March 31, 1869 in Wirsching Kreis Press Stargardt Reg. Becirck Danzig, West Breusen, Germany. He came to the United States in 1886. Ferdinand received full citizenship papers in 1894 in the courthouse of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ferdinand married Elizabeth Meyer on Nov. 18, 1890. Consent for the marriage was given by Elizabeth's father, Frederick Meyer [Source: Allegheny County Marriage License Docket, Volume 16, page 326. Ferdinand and Elizabeth had twelve children: Lottie, Edwin, Marie, Edna, Walter, Alma, Esther, Hilda , Freda, Alfred Dickert, Sr., Ethel who married Jack Tribbey, and Harry who married Eleanor Fusarini. Ferdinand died on July 2, 1947 of a ruptured aneurysm. His residence was 4412 Woolslayer Way at the time of his death. Ferdinand was buried in Minersville Cemetery, off Wiley Avenue in Pittsburgh, PA.
