John N. Mimm

John N. MIMM, a well known resident of Sharpsburg, and brother of the late Joseph MIMM, Jr., passed away Sunday, March 18, 1934, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph ARTURE, 101 North Main St., Sharpsburg. Mr. MIMM was in his 70th year. He passed away just 11 days after the death of his brother, Joseph MIMM, Jr., who resided in California.

Mr. MIMM was quite an athlete in his day, and will be remembered by his old friends as the catcher for the Etna Stars and the Blumenthals of some years ago. He was employed at the George A. Seavey Feed Store for many years and in his rounds of deliveries, made many friends and acquaintances.

Mr. MIMM is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary MIMM; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph ARTURE, and one son, Regis G. MIMM of Fifteenth St., Sharpsburg; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Henry MIMM of Allison Park and three sisters, Mrs. LANG of Millvale, Mrs. Henry FERLA of Etna and Miss Margaret MIMM of Sharpsburg. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning with requiem high mass at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's Church, Sharpsburg, of which he was a lifelong member. Internment took place in St. Mary's Cemetery.
