Mrs. Clara CAMPBELL WARD, 77, died Saturday, August 13, 1960, in the John Kane hospital after a long illness. A daughter of the late John and Anna PHELPS, she was born December 18, 1882, in Oakdale. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marie PATTERSON of Canton, Ohio, and Mrs. Edna COGNIET of Imperial; three sons, Charles Campbell of Whittier, Calif., and Norman CAMPBELL of Sturgeon; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna JAUFFELD of Oakdale and Mrs. Sarah BEAUMONT of Fresno, Calif. There are 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Thomas funeral home, Oakdale, in charge of the Rev. C. J. FARMER, pastor of the Oakdale Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery. ---- (Source: August 18, 1960 Obits.
