Edward BLANCHON died at 10:45 Tuesday, September 5, 1939, in his home in Champion. He was born March 23, 1857, in France and had been a resident of Sturgeon for 49 years. He is survived by the following children: August and Frank BLANCHON, Celestine, the wife of Ben SCHUGAR of Pittsburgh, Rose, the wife of Charles DELANEY, Valentine, wife of Jules SAMUELS, Julianna, wife of Mike SHEARSON, and five grandchildren, all of Sturgeon. Funeral services were held Friday at 3 o'clock. Burial was in the Robinson's Run cemetery. ---- (Source: Sept. 15, 1939 Obits.
