Funeral services were held Monday in the Florence Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth COWDEN, 82, wife of William COWDEN, who died Friday, January 6, 1961, in a nursing home in Steubenville, Ohio. A daughter of Joseph and Mary DONALDSON SCOTT, she was born April 16, 1878, in Hanover Township where she had resided her entire life. She was a life-long member of Florence Presbyterian Church, was a teacher of the Ladies' Bible school and was active in the Ladies' Aid Society.
