August J. WEITZEL, 81, husband of Celia MERCER WEITZEL, diet at 8:25 p.m. Friday, July 25, 1947, in his home, 139 Third street, McDonald. Mr. WEITZEL was born August 23, 1865, in Germany and had been a resident of McDonald and vicinity the past 79 years. He was formerly a hardware merchant and had an interest in a feed business. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church of McDonald. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, August WEITZEL, Jr., of Chicago, Ill, two brothers, Richard and William WEITZEL and a sister Miss Anna WEITZEL, and a brother-in-law, Gustave L. DUCRAY, all four of McDonald. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Pettit Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Joseph RODGERS.
