Ruby MOORE ZIEGLER Obituary
Mrs. Ruby MOORE ZIEGLER, 51, wife of Elmer D. ZIEGLER, of R. D. 2,
McDonald, died suddenly Monday, January 16, 1961.
 A daughter of the late Harry and Mattie O'HERRON MOORE, Mrs. ZIEGLER was
born December 29, 1909, in North Fayette Township.
 She was a member of the First U. P. Church and the Golden Link Class,
McDonald.  She had resided in Burgettstown and was an elementary school
teacher there before moving to the McDonald area. She had taught the third
grade in Champion School, North Fayette Township, for the past 14 years.
 Mrs. ZIEGLER was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Ernest Phillips Post
No. 485, American Legion, and Order of the Eastern Star, McDonald; the
National Education Association, Pennsylvania State Education Association,
Allegheny County Branch, PSEA, Area 3; and West Allegheny Education
Association; chairman of the ethics committee of West Allegheny Schools; an
active member of Champion Parent-Teacher Association, and a member of
several other committees.
 Surviving besides her husband are two brothers, John MOORE of Hanlin
Station, and Melvin MOORE of Oakdale; and a sister, Mrs. Carlisle PHILLIS of
Burgettstown.
 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Pettit funeral
home, McDonald, in charge of the Rev. Samuel E. GLASS, pastor of the First.
U. P. Church, McDonald, and the Rev. A. R. ARMSTRONG, pastor of the
Parnassus U. P. Church, New Kensington.  Burial will be in Robinson's Run
cemetery.
