Russell Henry BECHDEL, 74 of Coal street, McDonald, died Wednesday, June 8, 1960, in the Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. BECHDEL was born May 12, 1886 in Blanchard, a son of the late John and Laura FORESMAN BECHDEL. He had resided in McDonald for the past 25 years and was a member of the First U. P. Church, McDonald, and Oakdale Lodge No 558, F. & A.M. He was employed by peoples Natural Gas Co. for 38 years until his retirement in May, 1951. Surviving are his wife, Bertha KNORR BECHDEL; a son, William R. BECHDEL of Beaver; a granddaughter, Jean and a grandson, Jack, both of Beaver. A son, Jack, is deceased. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Rogers funeral home, McDonald in charge of the Rev. Samuel E. GLASS, pastor of the First U. P. Church, McDonald.
