John Clifford MCELHANY Obituary
John Clifford MCELHANY, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. MCELHANY of Fanny
street, McDonald, died shortly after five o'clock Wednesday morning, March
18, 1931, in the Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh, from a cerebral hemorrhage.
While skating at Duquesne Gardens, Pittsburgh, Tuesday evening, he had
slipped on the ice, striking his head.  He and his companions immediately
started for home.  On the way to McDonald Clifford complained of pain and on
reaching home a doctor was called, who at once sent him to the hospital.
 Clifford was born September 22, 1910 in McDonald.  He attended the McDonald
schools and was graduated from the McDonald high school in 1928.  For the
past two years he had been employed by the Columbia Steel and Shafting Co.
in Carnegie.
 Besides his parents he leaves two sisters and a brother:  Mary, Florence,
and Curtis, all at home.
 Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the
family home 123 Fanny street, in charge of the Rev. B. F. HEANY of the first
Presbyterian church, who will be assisted by the Rev. L. G.RICHEY of the M.
E. Church.  Burial will be in Robinson's Run cemetery.
