John A. BOWLAND, 97, of Imperial died Tuesday, April 1, 1958, in the Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. BOWLAND was born March 30, 1861, in Beaver County. He moved to Sturgeon in 1887 and later to Imperial. He had been employed by the Pittsburgh Coal Co. until his retirement. Mr. BOWLAND received a birthday greeting from Mamie EISENHOWER on March 30, 1958, the 97th anniversary of his birth. He leaves three sons, George BOWLAND of Carnegie, Leslie BOWLAND of Imperial, and Albert BOWLAND of Bridgeville; and three daughters, Mrs. Twila LAWRICH and Mrs. Theresa DAWSON of Westland, and Mrs. Stella DAWSON of Southview. There are 39 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held last Saturday morning in St. Columbkille church, Imperial.
