Mrs. Margaret HYSER BEST, 73, of McDonald died at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 3, 1946, in Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh, following a lingering illness. Mrs. BEST was born March 9, 1873, in Allegheny county, a daughter of the late Christopher and Christine GERLACH HYSER. She and Samuel BEST were united in marriage November 25, 1893. She had been a resident of McDonald the past 60 years, recently making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Clyde HANCOCK, of R. D. 1, McDonald. Her husband died November 20, 1930. Mrs. BEST was a member of the McDonald Methodist church. She is survived by the following daughters; Mrs. Myrtle BOWLAND and Mrs. Sylvia HANCOCK, R D. 1, McDonald; Mrs. Albert MC GEE of Carnegie, Mrs. Thelma KLETZLI of Oakdale, and Mrs. Lois WILSON of Steubenville, Ohio, Mrs. Ida CRUMMY of Wilkinsburg is a step-daughter. Two brothers, Perry HYSER and Chris HYSER, both of McDonald, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary KRESS of Primrose and Mrs. Katherine HALLECK of Clarksville, W. Va., also survive. There are thirteen grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Charles F. TAME. Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery. ---- (Source: Nov. 8, 1946 Obits.
