Mrs. Sarah F. Matthews, one of the best known ladies in the East End, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.C. Pitcairn, on Murtland Avenue. Mrs. Matthews was the wife of Robert R. Matthews, and was a lineal descendand of one of the heroes of the revolution. Her son Theodore V. Matthews, is prothonotary of Vera Cruz County, California.
