August Toth Obituary

AUGUST TOTH

   August Toth, 80, of 207 Herron Avenue, Acmetonia, 
died  yesterday (June 27, 1969), in Montefiora Hospital,
Pittsburgh, after a short illness.
   He was born in Hungary, Oct. 15, 1888, and resided 
in the area for 52 years.
   Mr. Toth was a retired coal miner.  He had worked at
the Duquesne Light Co. mine in Harwick.
    He was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic 
Church, Harmarville; United Mine Workers of America;
William Penn Fraternity Association, Springdale; American
Slovenian Citizen's Association, Acmetonia, and St.
George Catholic Union, McKeesport.
    Mr. Toth leaves his widow, Mrs. Teresa Hegedus Toth, 
three daughters:  Mrs. Michael (Margaret) Kernisky,
Brackenridge; Mrs. David (Joanna) Cox, Milton, Mass,
and Mrs. George (Ann) Mitar, Bairdford; a son, George 
Toth, New Kensington, 13 grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.

    Friends will be received in the Allen Clowes Funeral Home,
801 Pittsburgh St., Springdale.  A Requiem High Mass will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday and burial will follow in Henderson
Cemetery, Harmar Heights.
