1884 Mr S.J. Hooper Westminster Liberal Club 11 Panton St Haymarket Dear Sir, I have to thank you for your letter of
the 1st inst inviting me to a Dinner
under the auspices of your Club on the
29th inst. It will give me great
pleasure to be with you on that
occasion if all is well. I have also to thank you for your kind
expressions with reference to my
candidature. I am afraid prospects
do not look |
very brilliant, but if any genuine enthusiasm can to aroused I feel certain that there are sufficient Liberals in Westminster to have their own way at the next Election, only they must be in earnest, and finally face the difficulties which undoubtedly do exist. Will you kindly let me know the hour at which you wish me to be present. Yours truly, Quintin Hogg |
