The following came from the revolutionary pension records off of the Federal Archive roll M1495. This document was very difficult to read.  I have typed what I can read.  There are dots in the places that I could not read the document. 

On this 31st day of December 1833 personally appear before me William OBaunon as of the Justice of Peace in and for Henry County and me of his Judge of the county for said County of Henry.  Henry Kephart aged 72 years who being found duly ... according to law ... on his oath make the following  ..ation ....... obtain the benefits of an act of Congress paper the 7th of .... 1832.

This ................that... was ..... in the County of Shenandoah State of Virginia and in the spring of the year 1782 about hte month of March as well as he now remembers and after was ..... County of Shenanadoah under which drafed a Mr. Steven of Shenadoah County was drafted for a time of six months Mr. Stevens being unwilling to have been  ..... said ...to substitue in his place and ... out his said time of six months secondly for .. ..the said ...did ... to ... in the ...place and stead of the Mr. Steven and he was presented to Capt. Bown in a war because in the place of Mr. Steven .. the aforementioned Henry Kephart .. march under Capt Bown's company to the baracade near to Winchester Virginia and was thus .. ... ... on the ...........on the ...that has him taken from  ... in and ... he states that during his course of six months that he and ... to the satisfaction of his officers in charge his duty in guarding and risoners after having done  .. his time for which he had substituted .. that he was much .. by his said Capt Brown said time in the month os Sept in working which discharged him .. .. has .. He states that he has no .. .. evidence of his service but is able to ....... the service .. in his ... by a ........ he has by ... my .... whatever is a pension ..............and .... that this ... is ... on the pension roll of the agency of my state.  his Henry Kephart mark

I Abraham Kephart ... in Henry County Kentucky do certify that Henry Kephart who has ... to and ... the .....was a ... of the ...of the ... and ... as he has said in his .... i was living in the county adjoining the Baracks and house of ... knowledge of his house.  his Abraham Kephart mark.

The following is a letter to Mrs. John H. Stephens on Dec 24, 1935 at 41 Osborne Street Johnstown, Pennyslvania in regards to Henry Kephart Revolutionary war record S. 31190.

You are furnished herein the history of Henry Kephart (who was pensioned Kiphart) as found in the papers on file in pension claim, S. 31190, based upon his service in the Revolution.

Henry Kiphart was born in 1761, in the State of Pennsylvania; the name of his parents are not given.

While residing in Shenandoah County, Virginia, he enlisted in March, 1782, served in Captain Brown's Virginia company and was stationed at Winchester, Virginia, as a guar to the prisoner's held there; length of service six months.

After the Revolution the soldier moved to Washington County, Maryland, where he rsided until 1818 then moved to Henry County, Kentucky.

Henry Kiphart was allowed pension on his application executed December 21 1835, while a resident of Henry County, Kentucky.

It is not stated that soldier ever married.

In 1835, a sister of the soldier was refereed to, her name not given.  In the same year, one Abraham Kephart was residing in Henry Coutny, Kentucky, no relationship to soldier shown and there are no further family data given.

In order to obtain date of last payment of pension, the name of person paid and possbily date of death of this soldier, you should write to Comtroler GEneral, GEneral Accounting Office, REcords Division, this city, and site the following; Henry Kiphart, Certificate No. 25513, issued January 20, 1834, rate $30 per axmum, commenced March 4, 1831, Ast June 7, 1832, Kentucky Agency.
