The following was taken from Federal Archives revolutionary war microfilm number M1475.

1. Martin Kephart of Stark County in the state of Ohio who was a Private
in the regiment command by Capt Strieker of the Maryland line for the
term of three years. Inscribed on the roll of Ohio at the rate of 8
dollars per month, to commence on the 10th of June 1818. Certificate of
Pension issued the 7th of July 1817.

2. There are quite a few other records on Martin that I will try to transcribe later.  But one of them gives the following information.

Enlisted: Fall of 1775  

Length of service: Dec 27, 1779  

Rank: Private  

Captain: George Stricker  

Colonel: Wm. Smallwood   

State 1st Md.  

Battles engaged in: Long Island, White Plains, ...., Prince..., Brandywine, Germantown & Monmouth?

Residence of soldier at enlistment: Frederick, Md.

Date of application for pension: June 10, 1818

Residence at date of application: Stark County, OH

Age at date of application: 60 yrs. 

Died: 5 July 1832

Remarks: In 1821 soldier referred to his wife "nearly 60 years old and to his two daughters the youngest of whom was 15 years old.  No names are stated.
