Ole O. Anderson Dies at Home on Saturday

Former Aurora Township Farmer Passes Away After Short Illness; Funeral to Be Held on Monday Morning at the Home

     Ole O. Anderson, for many years one of the active leading farmers of Aurora township, died at his home, 312 Riverside avenue, at 4 o'clock Saturday morning. He had been ill for some time. He was aged 78 years, 11 months and 27 days.

     Ole O. Anderson was a native of Norway. He was born December 25, 1855, and when a boy of 16 years old came to the United States and settled in Aurora township where he spent the active years of his life in farming. He has been in the United States 62 years.

     Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, three sons: O.A. Farestad, of Claremont, Minn.; L.O. Anderson of Los Angeles, California; and Simon Anderson, St. Paul, and two daughters: Mrs. L.S. Huber, Manchester, Minn.; and Mrs. H.M. Smart, St. Paul; 5 grandchildren and two brothers: James Anderson, Amery, Wis.; and Albert Anderson, of Aurora township.

     The funeral will be held next Monday with the service at the home, 312 Riverside avenue, in the morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. T.E. Moen, of Kasson, pastor of the Aurora Lutheran church, will officiate. The remains will be placed in the vault of Forest Hill cemetery, later to be interred in the Aurora Lutheran church cemetery.

Services for Mrs. Anderson

To Be Held Today in Aurora Church

     Funeral services will be held today for Mrs. Ole Anderson, 84 years old, whose death Friday morning occurred at the home of her son, Orville Oliver A. Farestad, southeast of Claremont.

     The services will be held at the Conley Funeral chapel at 1:30 o�clock and at the Aurora Lutheran church at 2 o�clock, with the Rev. T.E. Moen to officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

     Born at Rock Dell in Olmsted county October 5, 1863, she and Mr. Farestad farmed for years in Aurora township. Following their retirement they moved to Owatonna, where his death occurred in 1935. Since that time she has lived with her children.

     Surviving are three sons, Oliver of Claremont, Ludwig of Los Angeles and Simon of Wahpeton, N. Dak. and one daughter, Mrs. H.M. Smart of St. Paul. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nels Edwards of Rochester; and two brothers, John Molde of Rock Dell and Lars Molde of Rochester.
