1880s [1882?] - Founder of Castleman hydraulic iron ore mining town/camp along the barren slopes of an old pine ridge, in collaboration with Sloss Iron and Steel Company of Birmingham, Alabama. The area is known today as Terry Walker Estates, located just off what is now Rex Lake and Zeigler Roads, along the banks of Little Cahaba River, Cahaba Valley. Could have existed as much as five (5) years before Leeds became a town, and possibly lasted as long as 20 years. Appreciate any leads/information. Flo. Day at E-Mail.

Castleman ... 11Jun2000 ... Milton Parker CASTLEMAN. Married Nora Lee Moore.Lived at Troy, Arkansas, or close by. His father was William H. Castleman. Mary Allison at E-Mail.

Castleman ... 29Jun2000 ... ??? CASTLEMAN ... Nanna Nancy L. Humphries married ? Castleman and is listed in 1910 Ellis County, Oklahoma census living with sister and her husband. Nancy Castleman is listed as having 5 children/3 living. Only name of child is Thomas Raymond Castleman born 1909 born Missouri, father born Indiana and mother born Illinois. Nancy is buried a Black Creek Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She died June 28, 1920. Believe Thomas was at Hermann, Gasconade County, Missouri later. Casselman ... 26Jly2000 ... Anna Eve CASSELMAN ... Parents ... Descendants. Just found is Anna Eve Casselman married 1817 Stone Arabia, New York to Henry Kretser (Krutzer, Graetzer). Believe Henry was born Johann Heinrich 1788 to Leonard Graetzer and Elisabeth Kuhl.

Found 3 children [of Anna Eve and Henry?] baptized at the Reformed Church, Stone Arabia: Solomon born 1822 ... Elisabeth 1824 ... Nancy 1826. Did they have more children? Did the children marry?

Had several siblings, Alvin, Bessie, Porter,Christine to name some...So I'm told, Radford's family was of Indian descent, tribe unknown, family divided and contact lost with Radford's father's siblings. Castleman ... 29Jul2007 ... Myrix Josiah CASTLEMAN ... Any help you may give to me would be greatly appreciated. I recently found out my great grandfather was Myrix Josiah CASTLEMAN from Glencoe, Kentucky. I can't seem to find any info on him because my grandmother died when I was very young and my father never really offered much info. I have no info on his father and very little on his mother, other than her name was Junietta (Gouge) Williams. His grandfather's name was Myrix Josiah Williams.
