Hannah Watkins in Campbell County, Virginia. Married
17Apr1824 Hannah Watkins in Campbell County, Virginia.

Watkins: My grandmother's maiden name was Osie
Anna Day. Her father was Joseph Watkins Day who married
Elizabeth Foster in Butler Co. KY 22 May 1859. "Wat"
Day's father was Henry Day who married Hannah Watkins in
Cambell Co. VA 17 Apr. 1824. Henry had another son,
William R. born June 1829 in Campbell Co VA , who
enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War. I have
Henry's other children as Mary S. A. Day,
born 12 Feb 1825, died 21 Sept 1845 and Lydia Jane Day,
called Jane, born about 1827 in Campbell Co VA died 19
June 1853 in Butler Co KY. She married Greenberry Layman
and had 3 children: Mary L. Layman, Edwin Alexander
Layman and Margus Layman.

said David to Roses Watkins on account of the debt paid
Robertson by said Moses out of my dec'd husband Roberts
Watkins estate.
... Have no idea who the Henry Day's
father was. Have the Watkins back about to 1700. They
were Quakers in the Welsh Tract of PA. Both the Pughs and
Watkins started out there as Quakers. A Robert Watkins
married a Hannah Pugh in Campbell Co. VA about 1800 or
before. Am trying to get a connection there but so far
have been unsuccessful. Mrs. Charleen D. Roberts E-Mail

DAY, Lucinda. She is my husband's ggg-gmother and so far
she's a mystery. She was born in 1828 either in Muskingum
or Licking Co.,Ohio and this is just a guess. We do know
that she lived in Muskingum Co.,Ohio in the 1840's. She
married JACOB BOYER, born April 10, 1793 in Frederick CO,
Maryland on November 23, 1843. She was only 15 years old
and JACOB was 50. They had 9 children by the names of:
ANDREW JACKSON,JULIA ANN, JAMES,WILLIAM PETER,LEWIS,
LUCINDA, MINERVA JANE, JACOB SEYMOUR. She died after
JACOB SEYMOUR was born. Supposedly the children were then
raised by her mother. This is about all we know. We would
like to find out more about LUCINDA'S family. ANYONE OUT
THERE KNOW ANYTING?????? Thank you for your help. Pat Boyer at E-Mail.

DAY, Elijah (1820-1880) USA/Indiana>Illinois>Iowa.
For several years and two professional researchers, we
are still looking for the parents and their birthplace of
my husband's GGrandfather, Elijah Day, born in 1820 in
Gibson Co., Indiana, and wife, Jane. From Indiana, they
went to Illinois (county unknown) where my husband's
grandfather. William M. Day and all of his siblings were
born. From there they went to Buena Vista Co., Iowa.
Elijah died in 1880 in Storm Lake, Iowa and Jane died
there in 1882. They are both buried there. We hope to
find the missing piece to the puzzle. They were farmers
but were just renters, so we think they might have missed
the census. Carolyn at E-Mail.
