Then From GA Laws 1831- Section 1: "......that all the territory lying west of the Chattahoochee river and north of Carroll county, within the limits of Georgia and which is now attached to and forms part of the several counties of Carroll, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Hall and Habersham, shall form one county to be called CHEROKEE........" and in February, 1832 on The First Monday at the home of Ambrose Harnage, an election was held. 1832 Election Page by Renee' Gore NOW HERE
