After he left the Air Force, my Dad became a captain for Delta Airlines. On May 23, 1973 (The day after his birthday) he died of a massive heart attack. He was 37 years old.

He flew the route from Houston Texas to New York NY, and had just flown the route the morning of his death. My mother, Donna Worthy, drove him to the hospital but he died shortly after they arrived. They tried to revive him but weren't successful. He left our Mom and four of us kids. Jeff was 15, Vicki was 13, Clay was 9 and I was 5.

I give you this info in case you are interested in any details. I'm not sure how well you knew him personally. If you do remember any "stories" and have the time to pass them on to me...I'd love to hear them. I wasn't able to get to know him that well myself.
