the C. S. to be manufactured into cannon. Then name E. P. Palmer,
Captain of Cavalry, appears on roll of Prisoners of War surrendered
and paroled at Augusta, Ga. May 25, 1865.

Enlisted as a private in Co. E, 2nd Regiment Ga. Cavalry March 19,
1862. Transferred to Co. A, 53rd Regiment Ga. Inf. May 10, 1862.
Appointed Chaplain, P. A. C. S., to rank from August 5, 1862, and
ordered to report to 14th Regiment Ga. Inf. Relieved from duty with
14th Regiment January 16, 1864, and ordered to report to Holcomb's
Legion South Carolina for assignment.
Transferred to Post duty, Greenville, SC, January 29, 1865.
