Christensen Farm aka Moon Cemetery

Sec.32

 Take highway 61 out of Fort Madison towards Keokuk.  When you see 280^th St turn R and go till you junction with 239^th Ave.  Turn R and follow to lane on left that goes back to the bluff.  Walk back to the bluff and then turn right and go to the clearcut for the pipeline.  The cemetery is up the hill almost to the top and on the right in the timber.  Most of the stones are down.

No Trace left. All markers were wooden and have disappeared.

Hillcrest Cemetery aka Everhardt or Engelman

Turn north from highway 2 onto 248th Ave. Go to junction of 248th Ave and 225th St. Lane to cemetery is straight across the road. also listed in Charleston Twp, Sec 1

Rudd Family Cemetery aka Kudebeh or Copland Cemetery

Sec.9 or 10

On top of hill on Old Rudd farm.  Contact Robert Knight for permission to go back to the cemetery.  It is gback from the road through a pasture to the 3^rd hilltop in a grove of trees.

Viele Cemetery

On a hill behind private residence.. Land is owned by Bill Faeth. Check for permission before looking for cemetery. Only one known stone left.

Wilson Cemetey

Sec.2

On top of bluff west of Fort Madison. Turn east onto Bluff Road at Highway 2, then go about 3/4 mile east. Walk up the hill.  The land is now owned by Glen Meller.  Contact him for permission to go to cemetery.  New approach to cemetery from Clearview Heights subdivision still crosses private land.
