Invitations will shortly be sent out to the wedding of Miss Grace Brown FISCHER, daughter of the late Leopold FISCHER and Mrs. FISCHER of Stoneleigh, and Mr. J. Hollis Buchanan ALBERT, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Taylor ALBERT. The ceremony will be performed Wednesday, November 27, at 4 o’clock at Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church, Towson. The bride will be given away by her uncle-in-law, Mr. Frederick VON KAPFF, and Mr. Dawson SPEAR will be the best man. The ushers will include Mr. Philip FISCHER, brother of the bride; Mr. Edwin Norris RICH, Mr. Arthur Lee HOFF, Mr. Starrow LOVELL and Mr. Bennett YOUNG. There will be no reception, the bride and bridegroom leaving at once for a wedding journey. Mr. Albert, who is in the Navy, is stationed at Pelham Bay, N.Y.

Mrs. William M. MANLY entertained a few friends informally at dinner last evening at Brentwood, her country place in the Green Spring Valley. Later Mrs. Manly will open her town house, 1109 North Calvert street. Her son, Master Keyser MANLY, is a student at St. Paul’s School, Concord, Mass., as are also Master S. Proctor BRADY and Master Van Lear BLACK.

Mrs. Edwin F. ABELL gave a reception yesterday afternoon at her residence, 16 East Mt. Vernon Place for the foreign prelates who are here to do honor to His Eminence Cardinal GIBBONS, who is celebrating his golden jubilee.

She was assisted in receiving by Mrs. Alfred Partridge KLOTS, Mrs. C. C. HOMER, Mrs. Sloan SIMPSON and Miss Eleanor MORGAN of Washington. The assemblage was a brilliant one, and with the priests in their robes of state and the officers of the foreign and American Army in uniform reminded of a party in Europe. His Eminence Cardinal GIBBONS was present and received the felicitations of the guests.

Mrs. Stansbury BRADY, who has been viiting Mr. and Mrs. Charles FISHER, will later go to Miami, Fla., where she will join Lieutenant BRADY, who is there in the Flying Corps.

The marriage of Miss Frances ALLISON, daughter of Mrs. Frances J. ALLISON of Chestnut Hill, Pa., and Mr. E. Curzon POULTNEY of Haverford, which was to have taken place October 8, but was postponed owing to the illness of the bride, was quietly solemnized at 11:30 o’clock yesterday morning at the home of the bride’s mother, 303 Springfield avenue. The Rev. Jacob LE ROY, rector of the Church of St. Martin’s-in-the-Fields, performed the ceremony in the presence of only the immediate families.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. A. J. Dallas DIXON, wore a gown of white georgette crepe trimmed with white fur, and carried a bouquet of white snapdragons and sweet peas. A cousin of the bride, Miss Mary SHARPLESS, was the maid of honor and the bride’s only attendant. She wore a frock of apricot colored georgette crepe and carried a bouquet of pink snapdragons.

Mr. J. Livingston POULTNEY acted as best man for his brother. After a short wedding journey the bride and bridegroom will live at the Lenox, Thirteenth and Spruce streets, Philadelphia.

The bridegroom, who is a nephew of Mr. Walter De C. POULTNEY and also of Mr. Livingston MINIS, has a number of relatives in Baltimore where he formerly lived.

Announcement has been made in England of the engagement of Lord Eustace PERRY, youngest son of the Duke of Northumberland, and Miss Stella DRUMMOND of London. Lord Eustace has been attached twice to the British Embassy in Washington and is regarded as one of the most brilliant of the younger members of the British diplomatic service.

Mrs. Alfred Partridge KLOTZ, whose husband is with the Red Cross in France, gave a beautifully arranged dinner Sunday evening at her residence, 14 East Mount Vernon place for the foreign prelates who have been in Baltimore for the jubilee of His Eminence Cardinal GIBBONS. The guests included Bishop JULIAN of Arras, his accompanying Vicar General, Monsignor GUILLUNIA, Monsignor BAUDRILLAT, a member of the French Academy and president of the Institute Catholique de Paris, L’Abbe Patrick FLYNN and L’Abbe Felix KLEIN—all of these French. The Lord Bishop of Northampton, Monsignor BARNES, Father DUCHENIM, Mr. Shane LESLIE, all these English, and Monsignor Sigourney FAY.

The other guests were Miss Maria MANLY, Miss Ethel WOODS and Mr. Kennedy CROMWELL. Mrs. KLOTS will spend the next few weeks in Washington, but will return in November to her home on Mount Vernon Place.

Mr. and Mrs. John Randolph BLAND will not close Bellevue their country place near Catonsville, until the first of November, when they will occupy the apartment at the Washington, on Washington place, which they have taken for the winter.

Mrs. Pembroke Mitchell WOMBLE, who spent the summer and early autumn at the White Sulphur Springs, is visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas DEFORD, at their home at Luray, Va., before joining Mr. WOMBLE at their apartment at 6 Mount Vernon place.

Mrs. John BOSLEY, who is with her mother, Mrs. Richard CROMWELL, Jr., at her apartment, 605 Washington place, will leave shortly for Jacksonville, Fla., where she will join her husband, who is in the Remount Service.

Mrs. C. E. FLAHERTY, 1824 Edmondson avenue, announces the marriage of her daughter, Cathryn L. FLAHARTY, to Clyde E. KALER of Meadeville, Pa. The ceremony was performed last Saturday in Washington.
