"A great many flower turbans made entirely of large flat velvet flowers are making their appearance in the millinery market in the metropolis," observed Mrs. A. S. FLYNN, a prominent buyer from the National Capital, at he Aberdeen. "Although this is the first time they have been shown this season, these turbans are not a new idea. At certain times every season turbans of either silk or velvet flowers may be depended upon to appear in Washington. Now they are being shown by some of the best shops in bright colors in shaded effects.

"A typical model is an elongated shape entirely covered with velvet flowers in several tints of henna. The flowers are so large that only nine were needed to cover th hat, excluding the tip, which was of shirred henna velvet."
