Many years of conducting genealogical research will teach you that there is much more to a family's history than filling out pedigree charts and family group sheets. After all, each name recorded on those forms represents a real human being who experienced a unique life span. So, just as researchers have to consult a variety of different sources to compile their family histories, they should also attempt to present the information they gather in more than the neat and tidy format of forms.
