     Zacheus BURT was born circa 1806 in Baldwin County, Georgia, son of John BURT and Hannah _____.1
     Zacheus married Mary Ann BILLINGSLEY, daughter of Clement BILLINGSLEY and Rebecca BARKER, circa 1827 in Autauga County, Alabama.1
     Zacheus BURT witnessed the probate of the estate of John BURT on 11 October 1827 in Autauga County, Alabama. His estate included 39 head of cattle, one yoke of oxen, 41 hogs, lots of tobacco and corn, plantation tools, chest of tools, saddle, grindstone, mule, horse, three spinning wheels, kitchen furniture, five beds and furniture, two trunks, seven chairs, shotgun, walnut table, one lot of books, crockery ware, Negro man Jim, Negro woman Dickey, and three Negro boys (Sam, Tom, and Harris). The administrator was Stephen M. Burt. Buyers included Zacheus Burt, S. M. Burt, and Wm. Burt. In January 1829 additional items were added, including one small looking glass, two razors sold to Z. Burt and two Negroes hired for one year. On 10 January 1830 one Negro girl (Eady) was sold to Z. Burt for $450 and one cotton gin was sold to S. M. Burt.2
     Zacheus BURT appeared as head of household on a census enumerated 1 June 1830 in Autauga County, Alabama, the household was listed as one male age 5-10, one male age 15-20, one male age 20-30 [Zacheus], one female under 5 [Sarah], and one female age 20-30 [Mary].3
     Zacheus BURT purchased a government land patent 3 October 1833 in Autauga County, Alabama. His land was located in section 4 of township 19, range 14. This was in the north part of Autauga county, between Billingsley and White City.4
     Zacheus and Mary Ann BILLINGSLEY moved from Autauga County to Lowndes County, Mississippi, between 1840 and 1847.
     Zacheus BURT and Mary Ann BILLINGSLEY appeared as head of household on a census enumerated 31 October 1850 in Lowndes County, Mississippi. The household was listed as Zacheus Burt, 44, planter, $1200, born Georgia; Mary A. Burt, 40, born Virginia; Sarah Pool, 22, born Alabama; William B. Burt, 20, born Alabama; Rebecca B. Burt, 18, born Alabama; C---? Burt, 16 F, born Alabama; Mary E. Burt, 10, born Alabama; Caroline Burt, 3, born Mississippi, and Phillip Pool, 1, born Mississippi. Their home was listed next to that of Zacheus' brother, Dr. William J. Burt.5
     Zacheus received a land grant 1 July 1859 in Union County, Arkansas. The grant was for Section 15, Township 17S, Range 17W. He was serving as a justice of the peace in 1863 in Union County, Arkansas.
     Zacheus BURT appeared as head of household on a census enumerated 4 July 1870 in Van Buren, Union County, Arkansas, the household was listed as Zackias [Zacheus] Burt, 64, farmer, $520 personal property, $890 real estate, born Georgia; Mary A., 60, born Virginia; Virginia C., 23, in school, born Mississippi; Zackeus, 19, in school, born Mississippi.6
