(Old Church of the Holy Trinity was built before 1066AD. 1000AD Millom part of Cumberland and was under Malcolm King of Scotland. 1031AD Cumberland under English as part of Earldom of North-Umberland. 1100AD Goddard de Bogville a Crusader granted Lordship of Millom - Castle adjoining old Church of the Holy Trinity built about 1125AD - one of the de Bogville daughters married a Huddleston who built the Huddleston Chapel now part of the Old Church of the Holy Trinity).

(Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Ormandy, a widely-known and much-beloved resident of Irvington, were held last Friday at Westminister Church, Dr. Edward H. Pence officiating. Services at Riverview were private. Death took place Wednesday morning at her late residence, 501 Weidler, where she had lived many years. She had been in Oregon since 1889 and in Portland from 1893. Mrs. Ormandy was born in Londonderry, Ireland in February 1845, and came to New York in 1866 and was married to William L. Ormandy in 1873. He died in 1893. The children are: Harry W., William L., Walter L., James A., and E. Alice Ormandy. Death was caused by paralysis. Mrs. Ormandy was widely known as a worker in charitable enterprises of Westminister, of which she was long a member)

(James Alma Ormandy Born Nov 12, 1879 in Pleasant Valley Township, Pawnee Co. , Kansas. Christened June 15, 81 by Rev. J.C. McElroy. James A. Ormandy, general passenger agent for the Southern Pacific railroad in Portland from 1923 to 1949, died at Emanual hospital Saturday night. He was 78. Born in Larned, Kanasas, Ormandy came to Portland as a boy and attended the Harrison Street grammer institute. His first job was as a Western Union Messenger, delivering telegrams at 2 cents each. With experience in telegraphy picked up as a Western Union boy, Ormandy began his railroad career at 17. Ormandy ws a former president of the Oregon Advertising club, a member of the board of directors of the Portland Chamber of Commerce and Rose Festival, an honorary member of the Portland Passenger Assoc., and a member of the Arlington club, Shrine and Masonic lodge. He is survived by his wife, Edit of 117 NW Trinity pl.; two daughters, Mrs. Janet Marshall of Chicago and Mrs Frances Ann Coffield of Newberg; a sister, Alice Ormandy and a brother, Walter, both of Portland, and eight grandchildren. The service will be at 11 am Tuesday in the chapel of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Funeral for Miss Esther Alice Ormandy , a retired Portland school teacher, will be Saturday at 2pm at the Hustad Funeral Home. Miss Ormandy, who made her home with a nephew at 8505 SE Cason Road, Gladstone, died Wednesday in a Gladstone convalescent hospital. She was 89. She was born in Pawnee County, Kansas, Nov 5, 1881, and had lived in the Portland area since 1889. She taught elementary grades in the Portland school system until her retirement in 1946. She was a graduate of the University of Oregon where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, scholastic honorary. She was also a member of Minerva Chapter, 105, OES, the National Retired Teachers Assoc, the Oregon Retired Teachers Assoc and did volunteer sevice work for the Salvation Army).
