    Twenty-three children and their agent from the Children's Aid Society in New York are listed in the Fisk House hotel register in Ashtabula, Ohio, January 8, 1862.

  2. Orphans Asylum Society of the City Of New York,  Kings County. (This listing was taken from the U.S. Federal Census Index, 1880)

  3. Personal Letters of Alfred Waibel.  Alfred Waibel was a resident at the German Methodist Episcopal Orphan Asylum in Berea Village, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in the early 1900's. The letters he wrote home to his mother/family have been most generously transcribed and donated by his Granddaughter, Jill Waibel Johnson. These letters mention names of children found and not found on the 1900 census listing, as well as names of adults.
