Herman E. Fabian, 91, of North Little Rock, the past Master of the Crescent Lodge #403 of the Masons, a Shriner who played in the Shriner Band, died Monday, May 8.

He had served in the Arkansas National Guard for nine years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Little Rock.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mildred Fabian; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Margie Knight of Pine Bluff and Aubrey A. and Mary Knight of Stuttgart; three daughters, Euritha Brazil, Loeta Huffman and husband Willis, Peggy Daniels and husband Ed, all of North Little Rock; one sister, Catherine McCrory of Little Rock; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 11, in Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills chapel with interment at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

D. Gertrude "Trudy" Fallon, 76, died Saturday, May 15. Born in Hot Springs, she was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church parish and a past president of the Catholic Daughters of America. She also was a member of the Central Arkansas Iris Society.

Mrs. Fallon enlisted in the Women's Army Air Corps in 1943 and was stationed in Pueblo, Colo., where she worked as an aircraft dispatcher. She received the WAAC Servie Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

In later years, she was the secretary to the superintendant at Blakely Dam, moved to Little Rock and worked as a ward clerk at Fort Roots. She advanced to secretary to the Chief of Psychiatry before retiring.

She is survived by one son, Paul J. Fallon and wife Ann of North Little Rock; her sister, Ethel Edds; her brother-in-law Joe Edds of Little Rock; and brother, Rudolph Stanley "Buddy" Hawkins of Hot Springs; three grandsons, Michael P. Fallon of Houston, Tex., Jonathan J. Fallon of North Little Rock, and Timothy P. Fallon of Golden, Colo.; and one granddaughter, Amy M. Fallon, of Memphis.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 18, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Msgnr. Francis Malone. Interment was at Mountain Valley Cemetery.

Hattie L. Fausett, 93, of Lonoke, a homemaker and member of Rose City Assembly of God Church, died Friday, Jan. 26.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Matilda Pate, her first husband, John W. Bryant, her second husband, Robert A. Fausett, one daughter, Ella May Fitzhugh and four sons, Ellis, Veron and Ray Bryant and Bobby Fausett.

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Lester of Panama City, Fla.; son, Bill Fausett of Lonoke; a brother, E.F. Pate; two sisters, Madeen Estep and Vera Mobbs; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and many friends.

Thelma Ozell Felder, 87, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, July 5. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jacksonville First Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Lauren Felder, she is survived by three sons, Jerry Felder of Gulfport, Miss., Ted Felder of Jacksonville and Wayne Felder of Bryant; daughter, Bonnie Montgomery of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was a retired pastor of Vimy Ridge Emmanuel Baptist Church, retired L.P.N., member Crescent Masonic Lodge #403, past Worthy Patron Order of the Eastern Star Florence Chapter #15, 32 Degree Knight Commander of the Court of Honor of the Scottish Rights Bodies of Little Rock, a York Rite Mason, past Grand Chaplain of the Grottos of North America and a member of Bendemeer Grottos.

Survivors include his wife, Velma; five sons, James R. Ferguson and David M. Ferguson, both of Bryant, Allen R. Ferguson of Little Rock, Rev. John W. Ferguson and Charles H. Ferguson, both of Benton; a half-sister, Edith Watson of Atlanta, Georgia; a half-grother, Milton Ferguson of DesMoines, Iowa; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was a retired engineer from Missouri-Pacific Railroad, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Masonic Crescent Lodge #403 and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Division 182, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock.

Martha Lee Fiegel, 70, of North Little Rock, retired from First Commercial Mortgage Department at First Commercial Bank, died Thursday, Nov. 18.

Born in Longview, Texas, she was a dedicated member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in North Little Rock and was active in the Alter Guild, Bell Choir, Holy Rollers and The Vestry there.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Fiegel Sr.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Donald and Cynthia Fiegel, Jr. of Ward, Driller Lee and Sondi Fiegel of Robins AFB, GA; five grandchildren, Justin, Elizabeth, Christopher, Beau and Scarlett; two brothers, James T. Butcher of Sherwood and John Miles Butcher of Leicester, England.

He was born in Aplin, Ark., to Samuel Newton and Pearl Ezell Fielder

Lorraine Glover Finley, 83, of Sherwood, widow of Joe W. Finley, died Thursday, Dec. 10. She was a life-long member of Central Baptist Church, an accomplished golfer and winner of the North Hills Country Club Ladies Championship, going on to win several more titles. She later became the senior medalist at the state championship.

A charter member of the North Hills Country Club, and a member of the city and state women's golf associations, she had a career total of three holes-in-one, scoring her last ace at age 78.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Mary Finley of Richardson, Texas, and james and Betty Finley of Maumelle; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

J.F. "Floyd" Fisher, 90, of North Little Rock, died Friday, Dec. 4. Mr. Fisher was a long time restaurant owner in North Little Rock. He opened Fisher's Cafe at the foot of the Broadway Bridge in the early 1930's. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Shriner, a member of the Scottish Rite Consistory and Big Rock Lodge and a Jester.

Survivors include a special long-time loved one, Clarice Morris of Little Rock; daughter, Pam Fisher of North Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, J.R. Kenneth Ray "Fish" Fisher, 65, of North Little Rock, longtime operator of the Razorback Drive-in in Little Rock, died Tuesday, Aug. 3.

Born in St. Clair, Mo., he loved to spend time with his family and friends hunting, fishing and enjoying life. He was active in the Optimist Club, retired from the UA Artist Theaters, a retired homebuilder, twice president of the Greater Little Rock Homebuilders Association and served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pat Fisher; daughters, Kelly Wilson, Kimberly Fisher Lynch and husband, John; six grandchildren; brother, Eugene C. Fisher, M.D.; and beloved dog, Jasper.

Dora Dee Farmer Forbes, 87, of Rose Bud died Tuesday, July 28.

She was a longtime member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church and the Friendship Home Demonstration Club for 65 years.

In 1989 she received an award from the Cleburn County Home Demonstration Organization for 56 years of service. She was a volunteer for various church activities, young people, shut-ins and the elderly. In 1983 she received an award for "Outstanding Volunteer Work to the Community and The State.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Forbes.

William Wayne Furnell, Jr. of Garland Texas, died Friday, Aug. 23. Mr. Furnell was born in Bartlesville, Okla. He was an electrical engineer, retired from E-Systems. He graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and from Southern Methodist University with a master of science degree in electrical engineering.

He was a member of Western Heights Christian Church, having served as chairman of the board, chairman of the elders, adult teacher and choir singer. He was a 50-year Mason, being a Past Master of Duck Creek Masonic Lodge No. 1419 AF & AM and an affiliated Past Master of Garland Masonic Lodge No.l 441 AF & AM.

He was a 33rd Degree Inspector General Honorary inthe Dallas Scottish Rite Bodies wherehe was a Degree Master of the 16th Degree.

He was presented the Silver Trowel Award by the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Texas. He received an appointment to the U.S.Naval Academy at Annapolis and served in the Navy during World War II. He was an amateur radio operator and a senior life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Farris Furnell; son, William Wayne Furnell III and daughter-in-law Pamela; two grandchildren; and daughter Elizabeth Farris Bryant of Garland.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 26, at Western Heights Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Mullins officiating. The Scottish Rite Rose Honor service followed. A Masonic graveside service and burial was at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.

Lee Roy Furr, 70, of Scott, a retired oil field roustabout, died Sunday, April 30.

He is survived by four daughters, Sherry Lee Furr, Donnie Marie Furr, Pamela Ann Furr and Brenda Furr and her friend, Gene Denio; and his mother, Rose Denio; son, Ronnie Lee Furr; four step-daughters, Angie Wilhite, Natalie Whilhite, Marleen Wilhite and Elaine Wilhite; brother, Jesse Furr; four sisters, Mary Ann Avery, Betty Criner, Opal Niland and Pearl Denham; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Thursday, May 4, at Roller-Owens Chapel with the Rev. Jack Bloxom officiating.
