RobertsCoy A.Coy A. Roberts Sr., 79, of North Little Rock, a retired salesman with Hollis & Co., died Thursday, Feb. 6. He was a member of Crescent Masonic Lodge, and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a member of Scottish Rite, Elks Lodge #1004, and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Karen Vaughan Richards.

Survivors include his wife, Trudy Roberts; one son, Coy A. Roberts Jr. of Stuttgart; two daughters, Judith Fendley and Linda Sayles, both of North Little Rock; two brothers, John H. Roberts and Dave Roberts, both of North Little Rock; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

RobertsonHerman C.Herman C."Red" Robertson, 88, a retired home builder and cabinet maker of North Little Rock, died Friday, Feb. 27. He was a member of the Church of Christ and an avid gardener and landscaper.

During World War II he had served as a supervisor of the Ordinance Plant at Jacksonville. He was a musician who taught singing during his early years and played several instruments.

Eugene C. Robinette, 75, of North Little ROck, died Friday, Dec. 13. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Armored Reconisance Unit of Pattons Third Army. He was employed in the construction industry as a commerical carpenter and superintendent for 45 years. In retirement, he enjoyed collecting antiques and was a member of the International Rose O'Neal Club and an affilate of the Arkansas Kewpie Travelers Club.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Inman Robinette; a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Laura robinette of North Little Rock; two grandsons, Randall A. Roinette; a great-granddaughter, Alexa Robinette; two sisters, Louise May of Sherwood and Emogene Brown of Greenbrier.

Harvey Lee Rogers, Sr., 56, of Little Rock, formerly of Newport, died Friday, August 15 in his home. Mr. Rogers was an employee of the V.A. Hospital for 20 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army with the rank of Sergeant, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism and also the Air Medal for participation in twenty-five helicopter missions over hostile territory. He held and Associate Degree from Capital Business College. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and skeet shooter and was a member of Blue Rock Skeet Club and H&R Deer Hunting club. He was preceeded in death by his father and grandparents.

Survivors include his wife Mary Rogers; two sons Harvey lee Rogers, Jr., and Bobby McKenzie Rogers; his mother, Fayon Newsom; brother John Rogers; and special loved one Shelly, Tony, Jeff and Amy Cooper, Kim, Rachel, Chris, Ashley, Samantha and Amanda Dodd.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport.

Born in Dukedom, Tenn., he was the owner-operator of Ark-Crete Block Co. of North Little Rock for many years, a member of Amboy Baptist Church, Mount Sinai Masonic Lodge #742, the Arkansas Consistory, Scimitar Shrine Temple, Scat Tract Unit, the Royal Order of Jesters #12 and was a World War II veteran.

He was an avid sportsman, taking many big game hunting and fishing trips.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Lou Cooley Rose; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Bill Kemp of Sherwood; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Tina Rose of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren, Matt, Allison, Ronnie and Autumn.

She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Mark Rushing, four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by daughter Dianne Buchanan; two grandchildren, Lorene Hudson and Fred Buchanan Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Russ Bellamy and Dianne Hudson; and one great-great-grandchild, Roman Bellamy, all of North Little Rock; and five sisters, Nellie Morrison, Ethel Morrison, Edna Simmons, Willodean Roten and Sunny Kuykendall.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Jan. 8, in Edgewood Memorial Park.

RussellBobbyBobby Russell, 58, a retired second generation builder of North Little Rock, died of a stroke on Friday, May 30.

The son of the late John R. Russell and a partner with his father and brother in the Russell & Sons Construction Co., later the Russell Construction Co., he was involved in home building for more than 35 years in Little Rock, North Little Rock and Maumelle.

According to family members, Mr. Russell also had been a softball coach for numerous teams in the Burns Park Softball League for more than 15 years, joined his brother and sister in a Real Estate company in Little Rock for a time, and in recent years, had become a partner with his wife Diana in the "My Husband's Treasures" flea market at 4401 Camp Robinson Rd.

He was a member of the North Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Addie Jane Russell of North Little Rock; a son Robert Earl Russell Jr. of Cabot; daughters Kelly Long of North Little Rock, Robin Osburn of Bigelow and Shelley Shaver of Wideman; brothers, Billy Russell of Sherwood and Ricky Russell of Maumelle; a sister, Barbara Maxwell of Cascade, Mont., and three grandcildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, at North Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, with interment at Union Hill Cemetery, in Bradley County.; nlrt6/12/1997

Chester Malvern Russell, 81, of North LittleRock, a retired Missouri Pacific carman, died Tuesday, June 13.

He was a longtime member of Somers Avenue Church of Christ in North Little Rock. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Oneta Russell; sons and daughters-in-law, Gail and Caryol Russell and Larry and Paula Russell; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Oce and Jack Russell.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Jean Russell; one son, Jeffrey Russell, both of Sherwood; two daughters, Christy Russell and Susan James; mother, Addie Jane Russell, all of North Little Rock; brother, Ricky Russell of Maumelle; and one sister, Barbara Maxwell of Great Falls, Mont.

Jeremiah Patrick Ryan, 47, of Sao Paulo, Brazil, formerly of North Little Rock, died Sunday, Dec. 3, after a long battle with cancer.

Jerry grew up in North Little Rock and was active donating his time to Lakewood's voluntary programs, especially swimming. He was a graduate of Catholic High, did undergraduate work at the University of Dallas and received his master's from the University of Texas at Austin.

He was director of finance with TVA in Sao Paulo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry F. Ryan. Survivors include his wife, Selma; son, Daniel Rayn; daughters, Anna and Cynthia, all of San Paulo; his mother, Linda Cahanin Ryan of North Little Rock; brothers Joe Ryan of Sugerland, Texas and Jim Ryan of LaPlatte, Md.; and sister, Janet L. Ryan of Dallas.

A memorial Mass was held Saturday, Dec. 30, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock, with Msgr Francis Malone officiating.; nlrt1/11/2001
