She was the widow of Albert Edward Van Pelt, a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and a retired teacher. |Vermily||Wright III||Wright Vermily, III, of Indian Shores, Fla., formerly of North Little Rock, died at aged 71 on Friday, Jan. 7, after a battle with colon cancer.|
Mr. Vermilya was a retired airline captain and a descendant of Orville and Wilbur Wright. He was a 727 captain of Airlife International. He spent 11 years based in Tokyo, flying to Saigon, Bangkok and Korea during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Quiet Birdmen, BPOE Lodge 1912 Holiday Isles Lodge, and the St. Jerome's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sugg Vermilya, daughter, Janet Vermilya of Atlanta; two sons, and daughter-in-law, Wright and Jane Vermilya IV of Woodstock, Ga., and Patrick and Pati Vermilya; two stepdaughters, Jan Jones and Martha Cullum; and three step-grandchuildren, Kendall and Justin Jones and Jason Cullum
