Jan 3, Hal (Harold) went to France. June 10 at Liettres. Tried to find Hal's location. Various enquiries. Found Hal's location. Too far away to go and see him. July 9 at Gricourt - got location of Hal's battalion from Div. H.Q. 4th Canadians. July 10 - got Ford car after breakfast and went to Izel le Hameau and saw Hal. Took him to Aubigny and had lunch, a walk and tea and then out to Aviguele C. Left him back about 6 pm and got back for dinner.
