ARRIVAL OF THE GYPSY - NEW PLYMOUTH
The New Plymouth Herald October 11th 1856

The Gypsy, Capt., Bolton, of Messrs Young and Co's., line from London 21st June, arrived in the roadstead yesterday, but the boats were unable to make her until an early hour this morning. We have delayed our publication hoping to be able to add a short summary of English intelligence, but the Gypsy's mail not having been landed and being unable to procure a newspaper we are compelled to hasten the publication of the Herald to be in time for the mail for the south which leaves at noon. The Gypsy has six passengers for this port and about 150 packages of cargo.
