SCOTT family:
David Brunton SCOTT was born 26 Jul 1832 in Cupar, Fife, Scotland. His wife Grace BEVERIDGE was born 9 May 1832 in Dunfermline. They married on the 26 Dec 1853 Leslie, Fife. David's parents were probably James SCOTT and Helen BRUNTON married 10 Jul 1829 Strathmiglo, Fife and Graces parents were George BEVERIDGE and Janet WILSON married 5 Feb 1820 in Fife. David and Grace had 4 children before coming to NZ, Helen Brunton 23 Jul 1854, James 1 Jan 1856, Walter Pitilloch/Petelloch 23 Jun 1857 and Euphemia McIntyre 7 Mar 1859, all born Burntisland, Fife. As the passenger listing states David and Grace only bought over three children, we know two of these, James and Walter but the third is a toss up for the two girls. David and Grace went on to have another child Henry Harwood 22 Jan 1867 in NZ. The family settled in the Nelson area. James married Maria Elizabeth Iorns in and Walter to married Annie Parker.
