"Bridget married Patrick Lawler at St. Gregory's on 30th May, 1852. She was eighteen years of age and her husband 23. Patrick Lawler was a native of County Clare. He had arrived in the colony in 1851 and was employed by Dr Murray at Woden, where his brother James, who had also emigrated in 1844, was employed. Three children were born to the couple at Woden, before they selected land on what is now known as Holden's Creek. Another son, James, was born at Burra on 20th January, 1864. Patrick Lawler died aged 35, on 22nd March, 1864. He was survived by his wife Bridget, four sons and two daughters."
