MILITARY MEETING.--Col. Eli Slifer, by authority, called a meeting at the Continental Hotel last evening, at which that gentleman presided, and Col. A. J. McClure acted as secretary. Mr. McClure stated that the State authorities were anxious to see the troops moved rapidly to Washington, and a number of colonels responded.


Col. Gregory, (Home Guard,) three companies ready to go; five skeleton companies.
