Recruiting

[souce: Philadelphia Inquirer, 28 August 1862, page 8]

MILITARY MATTERS.--All recruiting for the new regiments has now ceased with the exception of Col. ELLMAKER'S Regiment, who has received a special order from the War Department to continue recruiting for his regiment until the first of September. The Corn Exchange Regiment, Colonel PREVOST, is now complete. Seven of the companies have been paid the Bounty Money, $25 and the premium of $2; the amount to be received in all amounts to $85. Yesterday, companies E and C, Captains SHARSWOOD and PASSMORE, paraded to receive the Government bounty. The companies numbered ninety-five and ninety-three respectively.
