Head Quarters 91st Reg. Pa. Vet. Vols.
August 30th 1864
Capt Geo E Scott
Vet. R. Corps
Captain

I have the honor to report in compliance with instructions from your office of the 13nt inst. that the Descriptive Lists of Deserters for the Month of April 1864 were forwarded to your office one copy direct and one through the regular channel at the last of the Month a duplicate copy of which I herewith forward

During the Months of January and February the Regiment was furloughed to recruit and re-organize as Veterans the Reports referred to were included in the reports for the month of April. The report for the month of May was ommited [sic]. I have to make the following explanation thereof. The Campaign opened May 4th 1864 and with but a short interval has continued untill [sic] the present time. The Regimental wagon (containing Blanks, Books and Papers) being separated from the Command no facilities were at hand to furnish these reports nor could the time be so devoted without detriment to the public service

Enclosed please find the reports due to 31st of August

I assumed Command of the Regiment August 9th succeeding Major John D Lentz absent Sick

I am Captain
Very Respectfully
Your Obdt. Servt
Eli G. Sellers
Capt Commdg.
