(As with too many of these pages, I started collecting this information late, and haven't gone back through older files. Someday ....)

the regiment had new light blue pants

he had received boots, which were too large for marching ('when too big the[y] slip up and down and take the skin off'), but when he added a pair of insoles from old shoes they fit well
he stockings were all right
Jim McCullough wanted them to tell his wife where they got the boots, so she could get him a pair also
