After the war

He married Sarah [unknown family name] (3, 4). They apparently had the following two children (3, 4, 6 (2 children, both alive in 1900)):

In 1870, he was living in Menallen Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (3). He was living with his wife Sarah and children Elmore and Charles (3). He was a farm laborer, and owned $175 in personal property (3).

In 1880, he was living in Bendersville, Menallen Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania (4). He was living with his wife Sarah and children Elmore and Charles (4). His occupation was "grocery" (4).

In 1890, he was living in Menallen Township or Bendersville Borough, Adams County, Pennsylvania (5). He reported no disability (5).

On 23 July 1890, he successfully applied from Pennsylvania for a pension (7, 9).

He died on 2 September 1894, at Bendersville, [Adams County,] Pennsylvania (7).

On 25 September 1894, his widow, Sarah J Livingston, successfully applied for a pension (7, 9).

In 1900, his widow was living in Bendersville Borough, Adams County, Pennsylvania (6). She was living with her son Elmer, Elmer's wife, and four grandchildren (6). She was a confectioner (6).
