He was transferred from the 118th Pennsylvania (3, 5, 10 [transfer not mentioned in 1]).

He was a private in company C (1, 10).

He was mustered out by general order on 10 July 1865 (1, 3). He was a private, in company C (10).

After the war

In 1882/1883, he married Elizabeth or Katherine [unknown family name] (7). In 1900 and 1910, she had had five children, all of whom were alive (7).

On 18 April 1887, he applied successfully from Michigan for a pension (5, 6).

In 1900, he was living at 820 First Street, Alpena, Alpena County, Michigan (7). He was living with his wife Elizabeth, and children Alice, Charles, Elmer, Myrtle, and Nellie (7). He was an expressman (7).

He died in 1907 (6).

On 14 January 1907, his widow, Kate Malcomson, applied successfully from Michigan for a pension (5, 6).

In 1910, his widow, Katherine Malcolmson, was living at 280 First Street, Alpena, Alpena County, Michigan (8). She was living with her children Alice, Charles, Elmer, Myrtle, and Helen (8).

In 1920, his widow, Elizabeth Malcolmson, was living at 820 First Street, Alpena, Alpena County, Michigan (9). She was living with her daughters Myrtle and Nellie (9).
